Having completed her undergraduate education in 2004 in the field of Health Management at Marmara University, Özlem Akbulut also obtained her master's degree in English Business Management from Yeditepe University in 2008. In addition to her formal education, she holds an IRCA-approved Lead Auditor Certificate.

Her career began as the Quality Manager at Özel Yeni İsviçre Hospital from 2004 to 2006. She continued her journey as a Quality Officer at Kadıköy Şifa Health Group from 2006 to 2011. In 2011-2012, she took on the Quality Improvement and Training Manager role at Universal Hospitals Group. Subsequently, she served as the Quality Coordinator at Medistate Hospital from 2012 to 2016, followed by the position of Quality Director at Hisar Intercontinental Hospital from 2016 to 2020. From 2020 to 2021, she held the position of Group Quality Manager at Istanbul Okan University Hospital.

Since 2021, Ms. Akbulut has served as the Group Quality Director at Medicana Health Group.
