CVS

Our academic and experienced personnel can perform cardiovascular surgery using open and closed techniques at international standards. At our clinic, neonatal and pediatric procedures can also be completed. Our success rate for procedures we perform using unique methods and equipment to treat congenital cardiac anomalies, heart diseases, and acquired cardiovascular diseases is above international standards.

Cardiology Center

Our staff, consisting of lecturers and specialists, can carry out all cardiac and peripheral vascular angiographies. The balloon procedure and stent implantation can be performed in the same session whenever needed. We can complete all cardiovascular surgeries and heart valve procedures suitable for closed methods under present conditions. Medical treatment is carefully performed for heart failure, blood pressure, cholesterol problems, and every kind of heart disease, and patients are followed up with a patient monitoring system.

Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery Unit

Hepatopancreatobiliary surgery (HPB- Liver-Pancreas-Bile Duct Surgery-) is a discipline in which general surgeons who are trained and educated in liver, bile duct, gallbladder, and pancreas surgery work following a general surgery residency program and predominantly practice this field afterward. Many HPB surgeons are also trained in liver transplantation and practice in this field.

Diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in HPB surgery can reach the level of excellence through the cooperation of gastroenterology-hepatology, anesthesiology, intensive care, radiology, interventional radiology, gastrointestinal endoscopy, pathology, medical oncology, radiation oncology, nuclear medicine, microsurgery/plastic surgery, microbiology, and infectious diseases clinics. Within the scope of the agreement signed between MEDICANA Group and Istanbul ("Çapa") School of Medicine, Istanbul University, we decided to establish the HBP Surgery Unit by Prof. A. Cem İBİŞ, who has specialized in Hepatopancreatobiliary surgery and Liver Transplantation.

The establishment of this unit aims to provide "accurate, safe, and excellent healthcare services" in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of diseases involving the liver, bile ducts, gallbladder, and pancreas.

In Vitro Fertilization Clinic

Our In Vitro Fertilization Center delivers healthcare services with the highest quality by experienced doctors who use state-of-the-art medical infrastructure. Our In Vitro Fertilization Center uses the most recent technology and treatment methods in assisted reproductive techniques. Our In Vitro Fertilization Center team comprises experienced obstetricians, Andrology (male infertility) specialists, embryologists, biologists, and nurses.

The urology team of our hospital consists of physicians with academic titles, and our team may be the strongest urology team on the European side in Istanbul. Irrespective of its size, all prostate diseases are successfully treated with the HOLEP method. Our hospital has an ESWL (Extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy) system, available in a limited number of centers worldwide. Thus, we help patients pass their kidney stones without any pain. If necessary, we also break down kidney stones with a closed-method laser in selected cases of kidney stones.

Hemodialysis

Dialysis physicians and specialists in the Dialysis Unit provide services every weekday with a total capacity of 19 beds. We ensure dialysis therapy at night, on weekends, and on official holidays by technicians and physicians, along with standard dialysis sessions, whenever needed. The dialysis Unit aims not only to provide dialysis therapy but also to modify patients' lifestyles. All transplantation candidates are trained and in contact with the Organ Transplantation Unit.

Aeromedical Center

The Aeromedical Center of Medicana Bahçelievler Hospital was licensed by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation on 07.02.2014, and the center has been actively delivering services since then. Two physicians, one coordinator, and one patient consultant work at the Aeromedical Center. Our physicians at the Aeromedical Center closely follow notices, instructions, and medical necessities issued by international civil aviation organizations in Europe, the U.S., and the General Directorate of Civil Aviation of Turkey. Our center provides services to all other flight and ground aviation personnel working in aviation management and transportation, along with aircraft pilots, flight attendants, air traffic controllers, flight dispatchers, and aircraft maintenance staff.

Sleep Laboratory

Sleep implies the regeneration of physical and mental conditions through biological and chemical functions throughout the night, as the body, tired in the daytime, pauses daily life activities. The fact that one-third of our lives are spent sleeping may help us understand its importance. Sleep offers the body an opportunity to rest and regenerate.

Sleep medicine deals with disorders that develop during sleep, sleep too much or failure to fall asleep, diseases that affect sleep, and disorders that develop during sleep and impair sleep functions. EEG – EMG

EEG involves perceiving the electrical activities of nervous cells in the brain through electrodes attached to the scalp and recording their voltages by computers. It is a simple test that does not disturb patients and lasts 10 to 15 minutes on average. EEG is a safe and informative analysis method for progressive or non-progressive central nervous system diseases. Our hospital's specialized doctors use EEG to identify all brain and significant nervous system disorders.

The EMG test consists of two parts and lasts, on average, 20 to 30 minutes. It offers details about muscles, nerves that innervate muscles, and the junction of the nerve and the muscle fibers (neuromuscular junction). This test helps our specialists clarify whether there is destruction in any nerve at any body part and enables you to get the necessary treatment.

Intensive Care Services

There are two beds in the medical intensive care unit, two beds in the surgical intensive care unit, six beds in the CVS intensive care unit, six incubators in the neonatal intensive care unit, and four beds in the Coronary intensive care unit at the hospital.

Multi-functional Emergency Medicine

All services are organized to fulfill the needs of inpatients and outpatients 24/7 at the Emergency Room of Medicana Bahçelievler Hospital. There are decontamination, resuscitation, urgent intervention, radiologic imaging, and observation rooms with nine beds in the Emergency Room. The Emergency Medicine Department is located upstairs of the operating theatre, considering emergency conditions requiring immediate intervention.
