Intensive Care Services
An intensive care unit is defined as a division that keeps impaired body functions secondary to failure of one or more than one system within normal ranges, mainly uses data processing software during critical care, benefits from respirators and other supportive devices, and requires top-tier knowledge and skill. Management of Medicana Avcılar Hospital provides patients with modern care concepts by respecting the importance of working principles at the Intensive Care Unit and using all means of technology under the supervision of relevant specialists. It delivers based on this approach and specific position arising out of its history.
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
Our hospital has four newborn infant beds; the neonatal intensive care unit that has advanced treatment and diagnosis serves not only the infants born at our hospital but also treats other infants born in different healthcare facilities. Incubators, ventilators, complete monitoring, respiratory devices that use standard and alternative methods, blood gas analyzer, cranial ultrasound, and 24-hour pediatric cardiology support are also offered to all patients in our unit. Offering sufficient area for each patient, our center provides a large area for the family regarding kangaroo care, and it is located immediately near the delivery room; entry and exit are strictly observed regarding security. Considering neonatal care, having a sufficient number of well-educated nurses and neonatologists is essential. Each nurse deals with a maximum of two patients in our unit. Neonatologists carry out interventions and treatments. The infection rate is far below normal ranges in intensive care units. The hospital's infection rate is so low thanks to controls at entry and exit, hand hygiene, use of disposable materials, and routine screenings. Survival chance is significantly high in babies born >25 weeks of the pregnancy. Hospital stays are shorter than overage figures. The rate of eye- and lung-related long-term complications is very low. Too young premature infants are followed up for development, and the chance of motor/mental health is very high thanks to utmost attention in the hospital stay and support available in follow-up. Services are delivered as mentioned above, along with our ongoing efforts for public training and social aid.
Parking Lot
A valet parking service is available in our parking lot, which has a capacity of 100 vehicles.
Cafeteria:
Both cafeteria and food services are delivered at our hospital.
All of the medical technological equipment and services available at Medicana Avcılar Hospital are listed below:
1.5 Tesla MR
The 1.5 Tesla MRI imaging is a technological test that uses radio waves to capture detailed pictures of the body's internal organs. This test can detect diseases in various areas, such as the chest, abdomen, brain, lungs, knee, heart, and pelvis.
Whole-body MRI
Whole-body MR screening serves as an advanced, comprehensive check-up option for individuals concerned about or at risk for cancer. It scans the entire body in a single session, including the brain and neck, to furnish preemptive information before disease symptoms or tumor dissemination. People with a genetic predisposition to cancer are also candidates for this screening.
3D Imaging and Navigation System for Prostate Biopsy
The 3D Imaging and Navigation System for Prostate Biopsy combines ultrasound images used in MRI and biopsy procedures in three dimensions. Furthermore, its navigation feature facilitates the detection of cancerous tumors. This technology is used in the early diagnosis of prostate cancer.
